Voltair
Voltair is building the world's first globally distributed network of autonomous drones for Earth observation.
Power utilities are the perfect first customer: aging infrastructure and extreme weather are driving urgent demand for continuous, millimeter-scale inspection data across 7 million miles of grid infrastructure — and utilities spend tens of billions of dollars every year just looking at their own equipment.
Voltair's long-range, weatherized drones recharge from solid-state charging pads installed directly on utility poles, with each pad unlocking 1,000 square miles of persistent autonomous coverage. With a charging network deployed across the grid, Voltair can serve existing multi-billion dollar inspection markets in road, rail, and telecom at a fraction of today's cost — while enabling entirely new applications in weather monitoring, forestry, search and rescue, and insurance.
Voltair's vision is a future where drone coverage is available on demand, anywhere, for any application — without anyone ever having to operate the hardware.
